Ranch History and General Information
The original "Old Blue Ranch", approximately 17,000 acres, was purchased in 1975 and at that time Parker and Parker, LLC., began their hunting and cattle operation. In 1986, a neighboring ranch, the "Spicewood" went on the market. Needing more land for both the hunting and cattle operation, the decision was made to purchase it. The new ranch was a wonderful addition, in that it had more mountain country like the "Old Blue Ranch". Since the purchase of the Spicewood, we have been able to acquire three additional adjacent ranches, bringing the total hunting and ranching area to more than 55,000 acres.
The terrain of all our property combined, consists of about 50% mountains, ranging from about 4,500 feet up to 6,300 feet. The other 50% is flat to rolling hills. Having this diversified landscape provides excellent habitat for the many different species of animals we have.
Our hunting lodge is nestled in the mountains, surrounded by many Pinon trees. It is a beautiful stucco, six bedroom, six bath house. The views from the front porch are spectacular. Hear, you will see breathtaking West Texas sunsets and will experience the tranquility which surrounds you.
